When I booked my dive trip to Con Dao, I was picturing stunning reefs. And I found them. But I saw something on Amadive Con Dao's dive list: **A Shipwreck Dive**. My pulse jumped. This was more than a typical reef dive; this was an adventure into history.

Honestly, I was a bit a little apprehensive. Diving a wreck is serious business. But the crew at **Amadive Con Dao Dive Center** were incredible. Their PADI instructors gave us a very thorough safety briefing. We discussed safety protocols, the story of the sunken ship, and what we would see. The fact we were in such a small check here group immediately put me at ease comfortable.

Descending was magical. First, it's a shadow in the blue, then suddenly the wreck came into view. It was huge. The ship is now a thriving artificial reef, draped in soft corals and teeming with marine life. We saw big groupers peeking from inside the cargo hold, and lionfish hiding in the cracks. That feeling of gliding alongside this silent, ghostly structure was hard to describe—haunting, awe-inspiring, and humbling all at once. It's a time capsule under the water.

For any an Open Water diver (or higher) coming to Con Dao and looking for something more the standard reef, I cannot recommend this **dive** enough. It was the unforgettable highlight of my diving trip. A huge shout-out to the **Amadive Con Dao** team for their professionalism and for making this incredible adventure so safe.
